About the Program

Electrical Engineering plays a vital role in shaping modern society by powering industries, infrastructure, communication and sustainable development. From conventional power generation to smart grids, automation and renewable energy systems, the discipline continues to evolve with rapid technological advancements. Our Department of Electrical Engineering is committed to imparting quality education that integrates strong theoretical foundations with practical and analytical skills required to meet contemporary engineering challenges.

Learning in engineering is a continuous process that extends far beyond the classroom. With constant advancements in power systems, power electronics, control and computational tools, engineers must be adaptable and innovative. Our teaching–learning process emphasizes conceptual clarity, hands-on laboratory experience, simulation-based learning and project-oriented approaches. Through this, students are trained not merely to use tools, but to understand systems, analyse problems and develop effective engineering solutions.

The department offers both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs, catering to diverse academic and professional aspirations. While the UG program focuses on building core engineering competencies, the PG program in Electrical Power System emphasizes advanced analysis, simulation and research orientation. Experienced faculty members, modern laboratories and exposure to industry practices collectively prepare students for careers in power utilities, core industries, automation sectors, research organizations and higher studies.

We take pride in our students’ academic performance, professional achievements and progression to higher education. The department remains dedicated to its vision of producing competent, ethical and socially responsible electrical engineers. We warmly welcome aspiring students and researchers who seek to learn, innovate and contribute to the ever-evolving field of Electrical Engineering.
